Overview

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our company to work with both our valuable customers and our internal organisation to accomplish project objectives through planning project activities; project evaluation, and tracking the progress of projects. 

We are looking for a talented Project Manager with experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations &/or migrations, ideally within the Public Cloud or Private Cloud environments. The successful candidate must have a strong grasp of the SAP Activate methodology as well as other Project Management methodologies and frameworks such as Agile and Waterfall. This position will play an important role in leading and managing SAP projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. 

Under the guidance of the PMO, the Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. 

The ideal candidate will exhibit good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to plan, organise, delegate, and negotiate with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
  • Create and deliver project work plans and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Execute projects in accordance with SAP Activate methodology, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.
Team Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Proactively address issues and challenges, making data-driven decisions to keep the project on track
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess project progress and identify areas for improvement
Resource Management:
  • Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, ensuring optimal utilisation.
  • Work closely with resource managers to address any resource constraints or challenges.
Financial Acumen: 
  • Understands basic revenue models and P/L; meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Essential Skills
  • Relevant degree or diploma.
  • Qualification in Project Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical Project Management experience and have been involved in at least 1 major SAP implementation, and 2 minor projects.
  • ECC6 as a minimum, Simple Finance or S/4HANA experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of SAP landscape and architecture.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning.
  • Proven experience in risk management.
  • Proven experience in change management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
